A member of the Australian Marketing Institute and a Certified Practicing Marketer, Helen has been a marketing professional since 1986, establishing Simpson Marketing in 2001. Her combination of marketing, business management and communication skills has allowed her to provide her clients with professional, progressive and most importantly, useful and appropriate tools and methods for business development.
Helens passion is consumer behaviour. She believes strongly that if you understand and engage your audience, they will queue to purchase your product. She admires Bernard Salt and Bill Bryson for their understanding of the consumer mind.
Prior to establishing Simpson Marketing Helen spent many years marketing tourism for both private operators and tourism organisations. She led the team that segmented Queensland’s destinations from the generic brand Queensland. The strategic plan for Simpson Marketing was to concentrate on providing quality marketing service to the non-tourism sector. Some of her achievements since then include the coordination of marketing, media and public relations for the opening of a $20M residential aged care facility; negotiating provisions of water operation solutions to Regional Councils, Indigenous mainland and Torres Strait communities, isolated resorts and mines; and supporting the establishment of successful branch offices for manufacturing service providers in Cairns region.
